Birthday Fairies

I need this for my birthday!! lol Believe it or not, I have over 30,000 pictures on my hard drive right now. for only 1.5 years worth of pictures. Haha. I guess I need to go through and get rid of a bunch? My CD burner is broken so I can't burn them onto CD's anymore. :o( besides those get scratched up anyways. I also have 142 home videos on my computer. My computer is SO SLOW! So, birthday fairies (hint hint DAN) I need this. LMAO!! :o) I just wish it wasn't so expensive. I Guess it will be my birthday/Christmas for the next 5 years gift.

Adorable

aren't they? :o)

Baby Food

Has started once again in the Wagner household.....I can't really tell if Logan actually likes it ;o) I mean he practically swallows the spoon. Is that a good sign? ;op

Boys vs. Girls

Every night we put the kids the same way in their bed. Nolan and Logan always end up like this:

And they will both flip all around 4 or 5 more times before the wake up.

Avalon is always in the same spot we left her in. LOl. And I can't believe it was like 100 degrees at 4am and she had a blanket on. haha. Poor girl

Castle Park

My sister Vicki bought me and the kids summer passes to Castle Park. So, last Tuesday I took the kids. It actually worked out perfect because the Log Ride was down so the park was pretty much empty. But boy o boy was it HOT! The kids had so much fun though so totally worth it. I am sad to announce that my picture is no longer hanging in the carousel. The guy working in there told me he thinks the took it down in 2004\2005. He kinda laughed because he always wondered if anybody in the pictures ever even knew they were there. haha! So the picture of me and Vicki on the Ferris wheel from 1985 lasted up there for 19 years. That's pretty good. ;op He then told me that they just threw away all the pictures and I thought that was kinda sad. hehe I mean the Ferris wheel isn't even there anymore! CRAZY! There were also this group of people there. I don't know if they were FLDS or if there are other people that also have that same thing but they were all (like 100 of them) dressed in long sleeve black shirts and black thick leggings and long skirts. And they looked soooo hot! Their hair was soaked with sweat. Yikes. I can't even begin to imagine how hot they were.

Here is a couple of pictures from the day.
Lesson: Don't try to text message while on the Tilt-A-Whril. It will have bad results. haha. I got totally sick and ran to the bathroom and threw up. Of course it was all way way hot and i was drinking sooooo much water. I just made myself sick.

Nolan was getting mad that his head was getting all sweaty. So he used the hand dryers to blow dry his hair.

Family Pictures Part 2

Here are some of the pictures that Jessica took. Aren't they great!! I love them. I feel like you can really see Avalon and Nolan and Logan's personality in them. I think she did such a great job. Avalon and Nolan were fighting before we even left. I got home late from work so they hadn't eaten anything yet and were starving. They had wanted to go swimming that day instead of taking pictures. And then when we got there Avalon had to go to the bathroom and was gone for half the time. lol. So, to me that even shows how that much more amazing she was. I can't believe she got so many great pictures in such a short amount of time with super whiny kids. haha! Check out her website to see just how fabulous she is.

Avalon:
Nolan:
I love this picture! I was trying to get Nolan to do his Incrediable Hulk thingy he does. But he wouldn't do it. lol. Right after this Jessica told him "Ok don't jump off" and he jumped off and I almost had a small heart attack right then. lmao. But he was totally fine.

Light the Night Walk

Light The Night Walk is The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's evening walk and fundraising event. It is the nation's night to pay tribute and bring hope to thousands of people battling blood cancers and to commemorate loved ones lost.

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) funds lifesaving research that has contributed to major advances in the treatment of blood cancers and treatments for other types of cancer, such as chemotherapy and stem cell transplants. These treatments have helped patients live better, longer lives. New targeted therapies that kill cancer cells without harming normal tissue are providing drugs and procedures that are improving quality of life.

A donation of $25 provides patients and their loved ones with FREE booklets that contain up-to-date information on their disease and help them make informed decisions about their treatment options.

A donation of $50 makes possible a Family Support group with a trained facilitator where comfort can be found and experiences can be shared among patients and family members.

A donation of $100 helps supply laboratory researchers with supplies and materials critical to carrying out their search for cures.

A donation of $1,000 makes possible one- on-one conversations with health care specialists who provide patients with information about their disease, treatment options, and helps prepare them with questions for their health care team.

Please make a donation to support my participation in the Light The Night Walk and help save lives.

****Remember, this is a very important cause to us. And even $1.00 can make all the difference. We are walking for Phil with his family to help raise money to find a cure. But we are also walking for my Grandpa Jerry who also has leukemia and has been lucky so far in that his Chemo seems to be working. And for my Step-Grandma Maryann who lost her life earlier this year to the same cancer as Phil now has. It is so important that we raise awareness and money to help one day find a cure.

Thank you,

Summer Camp

Last week Avalon and Nolan had Summer Camp. Our church had VBS. One of my most favorite things I went to every year at the Crystal Cathedral when I was a kid. My grandma was a volunteer there since before I was born. We did everything there. I remember being 12 years old getting to work in the nursery and hold all the little babies. Heaven! ;o) So I was excited to hear how much Avalon loved VBS and how much fun she had. They were all broken down into animal groups. Avalon was a bear. So they had all kinds of bear stuff in her room. Here are some pictures from her week at VBS.
Our church only lets 5 and up go to VBS. Which was kinda a bummer. I didn't want to send just Avalon to Summer Camp and not Nolan. He is pretty upset still that when we moved he got pulled out of daycare and had to stay home with Dan. He always wants to go back to school and see his friends. It's so sad. :o( Luckily for us my mom found an article in the Press Enterprise about all the Summer Camps being hosted through the city of Riverside. And they were pretty reasonably priced. We ended up picking the Rubidoux Nature Preserve. That week they were having a pirate themed camp. Nolan got to make a treasure map and hunt for the treasure box. They made treasure bags and telescopes. They went hiking every day and learned all about different animals and insects and stuff. Then they also had a water feature everyday. One day was water balloons. One day they had little kid pools. Nolan had a blast. But it started out very rocky.lol

He was so shy. So he sat with the teacher the whole first day. He wouldn't even put his lunch box away. He kept it with him the whole time. But then he started making friends. One of the camp counselors was a pirate named Logan. So him and Nolan became fast buddies. :o) Every morning Nolan cried that he didn't want to go to camp. But as soon as they got there he took off with his friends and had a blast. Then he wouldn't want to leave at the end of the day. Then he would come home and tell us how fun it was and then he would remember how he was supposed to hate it. Then he would go on and on about how boring it was and how he doesn't want to go back anymore. But he keeps asking when he can go back now. :o) Here are some pictures from Nolan's week at Pirate Summer Camp.
And here are a few pictures Nolan took of his favorite things at camp.

Remember....

Remember when we took those family pictures with Jessica...... Wasn't she great. You should call her to do yours. Anyhow, isn't this picture of Avalon so beautiful?
Well, here is Avalon as we were walking out the door. Here is a real, true, honest glimpse into my life. Haha!! Beware!! lol. (and yea, clothes everywhere. It was laundry day)(just keeping it real here people) ;op

Rookieball

The city of Riverside every summer offers a 5 week Rookieball clinic sponsored by the Anaheim Angels. :op This year was the first year Nolan was old enough to go. So I signed him up. But, since he has been out of daycare for a year now he has withdrawn and became very very shy again. So, he had a hard time at practices but was getting better and was having fun. Then came the first game. And we were back to square one. When it was time to start Nolan had to go into the outfield. And he just lost it. He was so shy because there was so many people around and I don't think he was expecting it to be a few hundred people. I mean even we were shocked. There of course was about 6 fields they were spread out on. And about 20 or so people at Nolan's field. So, he freaked out and refused to play and started crying and screaming. I just couldn't be that parent that was forcing their kid to play. He obviously wasn't ready. So we quit. The team had 3 kids too many anyways. So, we didn't ruin it for everyone else. If it had been smaller maybe we would have tried harder to get him to play. We tried for 20 minutes to calm him down and get him to play. But he wasn't having it. Then Avalon didn't want to be left out. So she started crying that she had to sit on the grass when some other people had CHAIRS. can you imagine!! lol. So Dan and I were pretty stressed out. Tons of other parents were totally staring at us and giving us the stink eye. And the kids were both crying and screaming. Then I did the unthinkable. I swore to myself that this moment would never ever happen. I asked them if I let them use my DSLR would they please just stop crying and screaming so the other parents would stop giving us the stink eye and talking about us under their breath. lol. My kids are not even allowed to so much as lay a finger on this camera. They can't even look at it unless it is because I am taking their picture. And even then they must look slightly off to the left. ;op hahaa!! So of course they both stop crying and starting take picture with the camera. I was impressed at how careful they were with it. And shock! they both even got some really cute picture of me and Dan. After they calmed down we left and went home. And maybe next year Nolan will be more ready to play a sport. He hated wearing the baseball glove. He said it made his hand all hot and sweaty. And since the day Nolan was born he has hated being hot and sweaty. It's like his thing. He can't stand it. So, maybe we will try another sport?

My house

On the way back from Nikol's house Vicki drove down past our old house that we spent the first 12 years of our life in. It looks so different and so the same. Crazy. The super cranky mean old lady still lives next door. And she was standing out there and even all these years later me and Vicki totally freaked out. We were gonna get out and ask the guy if we could take a picture of the outside. And maybe even if we could go see the backyard because when i was a kid i remember it being the biggest backyard EVER! But then we saw Susan and we panicked. So we just drove by really slow and took a picture of the house. And they probably freaked out that we were gonna do a drive by or something. But here is my beautiful 625 square foot house I grew up in. It was two bedrooms. One bathroom. ANd in the kitchen\hallway there was a wall of wood paneling and wood cupboards. And we would use them as chalk boards and come home and teach Nikol what we had learned in school that day. I fell down on my bike in the drive way and landed the fence that used to be there and cut the top of my hand really bad. I still have a scar there. There used to be a lot of ice plant there in the front yard. One day all of us girls brought home frogs for some reason and we lost them in the ice plant never to be seen again. I wonder what ever happened to them?
At one point my brother and his girlfriend lived there too. And I remember them standing in the front yard arguing over a 90210 poster because she wanted to hang it up and he didn't like it and she kissed the poster and the broke up over it. hahahaa! I think they were maybe 20?

So many good and bad memories there. My mom and dad lived there when they got married. Its where we still lived after they divorced. This is the house were when we were in the process of moving out of it people broke into our house and stole stuff that wasn't of any value to anyone but us. Baby books. Pictures. Our baby clothes.

We had this giant table in the backyard and two school desks and we would play court all the time. Somehow Nikol almost always was the judge. We played court a lot. lmao.

Down the street was this HUGE hill we would play on all day long during the summer. building forts and castles and hiking and everything. Now when we drove by we almost passed it before we knew it was there. Now it's just an empty lot. I cant believe I used to think it was this giant hill.

I guess everything is different when your kids. Everything looks so much bigger.

And then on the way home from there we drove by Eric's old house. It's even smaller. lol. And looks exactly the same as it did 15 years ago when they left and moved to North Carolina.

Sunday

Last Sunday at the end of Mass all the kids got to go up front and sing the song they had learned at VBS (dont worry, post coming soon about that). It was really cute. Half the kids were so shy they just sang the chorus and did the moves. Since I was also taking Logan that day to get his 4 month pictures taken I made sure he was all dressed up super cute. I love his little shoes. This was the first time we had put shoes on him. It made him look so big. Gma and Papa came to watch too. Afterwards Dan and the kids and I all went to Don Jose's for lunch. YUMMY!!

Bowling

Since Eric is down visiting Vicki came down for a few days to hang out. We were trying to think of stuff to do that everyone could do but was indoors since it was SO HOT outside. And then Nikol picked bowling. :op and it was awesome because we all are sucky bowlers. I won the first game with 89 points. and Nikol won the second game with 97 points. Eric really had not been bowling for a really really long time. So, I think he had a great time. :o) We all took turns letting Monkey bowl for us. But sadly, that did not really affect our score. Well, maybe Vicki's because Monkey bowled for Vicki every frame. lol. Enjoy some pictures.

Mongolian BBQ

Saturday we all loaded up and went to visit Nikol. I know some of you are wondering where Avalon and Logan were. Every year the Gparents take the kids for one weekend. And it's always the weekend the Circus is in town. It's a become a tradition since Avalon was 2 years old. :o) This year it just happened to land on the weekend that Vicki was coming down with Ryan and Jenny and her boys and Eric are all down. So, that is why the kids were gone. However, if we had Avalon and Nolan we would have just stayed home the whole weekend because 4 kids riding around in a car in the heat all day long would have been killer! lmao.
I finally got to go to Nikol's new place. I am so JEALOUS! It's so beautiful. It's this really old beautiful house in a really old historic area. After spending just one day there I now want to move there. :o) If I ever didn't have to work and we could afford it I would totally move there in a heartbeat. My favorite part was this tiny little market right across the street from her house that sold specialty beers and wines and imported cheeses and chocolates and all this gourmet food. Adorable!! It was over 100 degrees outside. After bowling and lunch we went back to her house and cranked the AC and watched Dogma. Logan LOVED sitting in front of the AC. It was blowing on him just right I guess because he was just sitting there cracking up. Poor Ryan was so tired. He feel asleep. And FYI, Nikol's bathroom is probably the size of Avalon's bedroom.

Also, I just wanted to say I was having MAJOR problems with my point and shoot camea. The whole weekend. By the end of the weekend I finally figured out what the problem was. But still, a lot of the pictures came out all crappy. oh well. :o)
Nikol took us to this amazing Mongolian BBQ resturant for lunch. The food was so yummy. And you could watch this lady in the back make eggrolls. I didn't get a picture of that but I sure wish I had.

July 20, 2009

Monkey

Monkey loves his cousin Logan. Monkey loves ALL babies. LMAO. Every time he sees Logan all he wants to do is hold him. The whole day. I have hundreds of pictures of Monkey holding Logan in the last 4 months. I don't know why. But he likes pulling Logan's ears. Never hard enough to hurt him or anything. Logan doesn't seem to care at all. But it cracks me up how he is always walking up to Logan and pulling his ears.

Eric

I am pretty much way behind in blogging. I am gonna try to catch up. But just a heads up these are probably gonna be all out of order. :o)

My cousin Eric flew out from North Carolina last Thursday to visit everybody. He is staying with my cousin Becca and her husband Dave. Friday I had a really really stressful to say the least kind of day at work. So when I got home and Nikol and Chris called to say they were taking Eric to Don Jose's for dinner and did we all want to tag-a-long too I was like heck ya!!

And before I post the pictures I just wanted to say that usually a work week starts out with me doing my hair and makeup everyday. Then usually by Wednesday I only have my makeup. And by Friday I could care less I am so tired I don't care what I look like. hahahaaa!! So yes I am aware how tired and crappy I look. :o)

Here are some pictures from Don Jose's with Eric. Enjoy.

Hey everybody. Earlier this week the kids and I met up with Jessica to go get our family pictures taken. Dan was SUPPOSED to go. But of course UP heard and called him into work instead. Story of our life. ;op But I couldn't pass up Jessica taking our pictures. She is AMAZING! So I begged her to still take pictures of me and the kids and of course she agreed. ;o) So go check them out. I LOVE them.
