Kitchen!!

We are like 80% to 90% done. I am so excited!! I just can't believe it is the same kitchen. Well, it's not because we gutted it down to the studs and then rebuilt everything. But still. Dan and Bill and everyone else that helped did such an amazing job!! So, thanks to:
Dan, Bill, my Mom, Nikol, Eric, Vicki, Mark, Diane, Wally, Angie, Dave, my Kids, Lance, Julie, and me! :o) Without everyone's help we never would have gotten as much done as we have. And you were all free labor!! That is even better. :o) Oh, and Rob, who helped us get the kitchen sink I wanted so bad but could not find anywhere!! Thanks!! :o)

So, here are some more before and after shots. Still, it just does not do it justice. You just can't really tell how bad it was before and how great it looks now. :o) Hallway before

Hallway after. The only downside is that this way we lost a lot of storage space. But it was really unusable storage space because the shelves were so high I could not reach them. They were so short that you could not put much on each shelf and they were so deep things in the back would probably be lost. lol. I really love the way it looks now. I would rather this then the storage space. Dan did amazing!! This is the wall between the kitchen and living room. Before. There is a closet there. A few cupboards. And this is obviously were the fridge was supposed to go. Here is after. Dan put up trim around the opening. But I don't have a good picture of it yet. And it's not all the way done yet either anyways. I really feel like it opens up the kitchen and the living room more. This is the wall were the stove goes. We kept it on the same wall. But moved it about 3 feet to recenter it since we moved the doorways over. Since we got rid of the hallway closet. Here are two after pictures. We moved the garage door to the other end of the wall. Took out the old pantry closet. And you can't really tell, but moved the stove down a few feet. And moved the kitchen sink to where the garage door was instead of in the middle of the kitchen. BeforeSame angle, after
Before
After
Before
After

The new entry way. I did not have a before picture. But it's mostly a close up of the tile. Doesn't it look great? lol. It's called "Maui". We saw it as a sign that it was meant for us. Ha hahaha!! :o)

A close up of the top of our new stove. Because I think it looks awesome how the grills go all the way across the whole top.
This is the back splash we are thinking of going with. ??? I like it. I think it goes together well. We have not made 100% final decision on the back splash yet. We still have to install the wall cabinets anyways before we can put up the back splash. So, we still have time to shop around. What do you think? I like it. I really wanted the glass brick looking tiles. But they were like 30 bucks a piece. Way out of our budget. lol. But I really like this one.
And, last but not least, a few people were asking for a close up of the granite so they could see the detail. So, here it is. :o)

Happy Halloween!!

The Happiest Place on Earth....

In my opinion anyway. :o) (Sorry for the blurry photo...)

But, apparently not Dan's....

Washing the dishes and the kids at the same time. lol

Books

Do NOT read this book while you are pregnant. lol. It will give you some crazy nightmares. I just finished reading it and I thought the book was soooo good. Sometimes I thought it got a little long winded and I was like ok i get that it is winter!! lol. Get on with the story. But overall the book was so good. Now, i am gonna rent the movie and watch it. :o)
And now i need to find a new good book to read. Any suggestions?

Oh yea, and i just got done reading this one also:
It was so boring and not really that great. lol. Although, truth be told. I bought it because everyone online is saying how it reveled all these secrets and she sold her daughters out. And i just wanted to know what she would say. The book is not a sell out. I don't think so. She talks just about herself and raising her kids. But pretty much her kids are not even part of the book.

Most favorite book ever? It's a toss up for me. Anna Karenina and War and Peace. Both are seriously super long long books. But OMG!! They are both soooo good. I loved them both! I love how they have multiple narrators of the story. It's not just one side. I feel like you really get the entire story and background of the characters and everything when reading these two books. They are amazing!! I have read them both over and over and over. What is your favorite book you have ever read?

No on 8

I took this from another friend of mine:

8 reasons to vote no on Prop 8

8 reasons I oppose Proposition 8 – by Rev.Molly Vetter, First United Methodist Church, San Diego

On our November ballot here in California, we will be asked whether we support a proposition that would remove the right of same-sex couples to enter into legal marriage. As a heterosexual, married, Christian woman, I oppose this proposition for many reasons. Whether you agree with me or not, I would be honored if you'd consider these 8 reasons why I'm voting against it. In my mind, any one of them is enough reason to vote against this proposal.

1. This is a matter of legal rights, not a referendum on how religious people should interpret marriage. As a part of a nation built on ideals like justice and equality, I see no reason to restrict the legal rights of people to enter into the marriage contract with one another. I would like to live in a California that affords rights, not one that adds clauses into its Constitution to deny them.

2. This proposition has nothing to do with the rights of homosexual people to have children. Regardless of marital status, gay and lesbian people are already raising children. I would contend that it does our society good to have children being raised by people who are married--that the commitments made in marriage tend to help create home environments that are more stable, especially because of the way the community beyond the couple understands what it means to be married. Allowing same-sex couples to continue to marry in California will give greater stability to families, not less.

3. Heterosexual marriage does not need protection from same-sex marriage. I do believe that heterosexual marriage needs work in our culture--too many marriages end in divorce. It is a challenge to succeed in marriage--I struggle with the difficulty of separation during deployment, with my own independence, and much more. My marriage is not, however, threatened by the marriages of same-gender couples.I wonder what we believe we're protecting marriage from?

4. Our understanding of marriage, in the church and under the law, has been continuously evolving. I celebrate that, as a woman, I enjoy rights to choose my own spouse (as well as the right to choose not to have a spouse and still own property) that have not always been available to women--certainly not always in our biblical tradition. I also celebrate that marriage does not exist only for the purpose of having children. I give thanks for the love shared between couples that have chosen not to have children, and between couples that have been unable to have children. I delight in couples far beyond their child-bearing years who are able to marry. There is not an unchanged understanding of marriage stretching back through the Bible, nor through our nation's history. The Supreme Court's decision to extend the rights of marriage to same-sex couples is another change in this evolving history. There is no one "original" understanding of marriage that we can preserve.

5. I have been blessed and enriched by same-gendered couples. Both as domestic partners and as married couples, they have shown me what mutually-life-giving, committed relationships can look like. Often persevering through immense challenges, they have demonstrated how married couples can care for each other and strengthen one another. These couples have been a blessing to our communities, too. I welcome ways that we can do more to honor committed relationships and let them be an asset to our communities.

6. Opposing this proposition does not mean that clergy are required to perform same-sex marriages. As a pastor, I always have the right to refuse to marry a couple. Opposing the proposition does not compel churches to change their definitions of marriage. Already, many churches have requirements for marriage in that church--such as requiring both spouses to be members of the church. Churches can continue to define their own rules for marriage, even without this proposition.

7. This restriction of rights does not belong in our Constitution. In my mind, a Constitution exists to provide rights, not take them away.

8. I am bothered by the fear-inducing tactics used by supporters of Proposition 8. The Gospel of Jesus Christ demands that we move past our fears to dare to include more of the world in God's love. I refuse to be convinced to restrict legal rights to members of our community because I am afraid. I do believe that there is real evil in the world, and that this campaign is distracting us from work that is necessary for God's kingdom. Over and over, Jesus commanded us to care for the poor. Never once did Jesus speak about same-sex marriage. Proponents of this initiative are asking us to be afraid of the wrong thing. We have a lot of work to do if we want to follow Christ's example of love for our neighbors.

This Proposition will not help us in that work.

It's a Boy!!!

Yey!! We had our ultrasound this morning. And the tech said she was 100% for sure it's a boy. She said she had a clear shot. And there is no doubt in her mind. :o) We would have been happy no matter what. But I am definitely excited that it is a boy! woo hoo!! Dan is the only boy to carry on the Wagner name. Then Nolan. Now, one more. So, exciting for me. I mean, I am sure his grandparents have other cousins or something. But for our direct family Dan was it. Now he has 2 sons to keep it going.

We thought it would be fun to take the kids with us. So they could find out at the same time as us. And this way they would get to see the baby too. We kept asking them over and over what they were hoping it would be. And for months the two of them kept saying they wanted a little brother. As soon as the tech said it was a boy Avalon broke out sobbing. I mean really crying her eyes out. We asked her what was wrong. She is upset. Now she will be the only girl. She wanted a sister. Mommy does not count as another girl. The baby will get to sleep with Nolan and she will have to sleep by herself. Who will she play with now? The baby will play boy games with Nolan. And she cried and cried and cried. All the way out to the car. All the way to school. lol. It was so sad and so cute and so funny. We were definitely not expecting her to react that way.

Right now we are going with the name Logan. We might change it again. lol. Who knows. :o) It's so exciting. Now we can start buying clothes and picking out bedding. We can set the crib up now at the new house. We can go register!! lol.

I need your vote!

Ok guys, here is a picture of our kitchen at the new house. My father-in-law just spent two days laying down tile. If you look you can see under the cabinets instead of the moldings or kick boards or whatever they used tile. Today is the first day Dan has been over there to see it. Dan loves it. I am not so sure I like it. I think I would like our moldings put down there instead? So, I need your advice. Do you guys like it? With the tile?

And in an hour from now they are coming to install the new counters! woo!! I will upload a picture of that too later if Dan sends me one.

Daily Schedule

I thought I would post this. Just to see how much, if at all, my schedule will change once the new baby comes. I know it changed drastically going from one kid to two kids. lol. I never wrote down Avalon's. But from what I can remember, it kinda went like this.

5:00am - wake up and get dressed
6:00am - drop off Avalon at Daycare
6:45am - arrive at work (by the way, I was late everyday. I started work at 6am!!)
4:00pm - leave work
5:00pm - pick up Avalon from daycare
5:30pm to 6:30pm - take a nap. (I know, lol. It was so sad)
6:30pm - Cook Dinner (which was usually ordering food to be delivered. Every restaurant
within 10 miles of us delivered. Sometime I cooked. If Dan was home
then he would cook. lol)
7:30pm- Give Avalon a bath
8:00pm - 9:00pm- Put Avalon to bed
9:00pm to whenever - clean house, do dishes, watch tv, then go to bed. (this is why i had to take
my nap when i got home. hehehe)

Now my schedule now with both kids:

5:30am - Wake up and shower and get dressed
6:00am - wake up kids and get them dressed and ready
6:30am - drop kids off at daycare
7:00am- get to work (again I am usually 10 to 15 minutes late here)
3:00pm - leave work
3:00 - 4:00pm - Do whatever errands i can before i pick up kids. Usually grocery shopping or
going to post office. Stuff like that
4:00pm - Pick up kids from daycare
4:30pm- help kids do their homework, start a load of laundry, put away load of laundry still in
dryer from yesterday. Figure out what to make for dinner. Usually this is when I will
get to relax a little too and play games or whatnot with the kids.
5:30pm- make dinner
6:30pm- eat dinner
7:30pm- give Avalon and Nolan a bath. Put laundry in dryer. Do dishes from dinner. Clean up
house. Get homework together to be turned in. Make sure kids brush their teeth.
8:00pmish- Get kids out of tub and get them dressed for bed
8:30pm - Put kids to bed and read stories for 30 minutes.
9:00pm- Make lunches for everyone for the next day. figure out what everyone is going to wear.
10:00pm- Go to bed.

Except for Tuesdays. Because Tuesdays are the only day I get to watch TV. House and fringe. I let the kids stay up and watch the shows with me because they like them. Even though I know everyone thinks I am crazy I let my kids watch Fringe. But they like it and it does not scare them. And yes, I know letting them stay up till 10pm is horrible. But they usually fall asleep during the show. And it is the only day during the week that i get to watch anything!! So i don't care. lol. Obviously I feel guilty doing it. But I am still doing it. :o)

Wow, you know, when i look back over this list and I read it, it really does not seem all that bad. I feel like I should not feel so busy. But trust me. When I am here doing it everyday it seems like so much. I feel like I never get to sit down and do anything at all. On the nights when Dan is home he helps out and it is not so bad. But, mostly, this is my everyday routine. I don't know how much a third kid will change this. Probably not at all. Other then I will need to add 30 minutes to everything. lol

I am sure almost all of you have the same exact schedule. lol. :o)

Another House Update

I am sure some of you are tired of seeing the pictures of the new house. lol. And other people say I am not posting them enough. So, here are some more pictures of the kitchen. Click here to see all the pictures so far from start to finish. I really wish you could have all seen in person the kitchen before. And the kitchen now. The pictures just do not do it justice. It is a completely different kitchen. I would never believe it was the same kitchen.
Hope this helps a little in being able to see how it goes. Wednesday the granite guys come to install the granite countertops. So, Thursday I will post some more pictures of that. And tomorrow Bill, Diane, and Wally are laying down all the tile.
Here are some just for fun pics now.
Here is my new stove. Which still is sitting in the back of the truck. lol. Dan said will put it in the kitchen before he leaves tonight. :o)
Avalon helping Dan put up the crown molding.
Poor papa!! I don't knwo what the kids are doing to him. They are trying him up to the back of the truck. lol.

Bass Pro Shop - Halloween Bash

Today my mom and I took the kids to Bass Pro Shops in Rancho Cucamungo to their Halloween Bash. The kids got to go around the store and trick-or-treat for candy. They got to Paint Pumpkins, a marshmallow toss, bob for apples, and make a halloween mask. And there was an arcade shooting game. I think they had more fun going up and down the elevator looking at the fish. lol. But, we still had a good time. Here are some pictures. Click here to see all of them.

Halloween Party

(aren't the two little twins just the cutest!) Today our friends the Gonzales Family had a huge kids Halloween party. We drove out to Huntington Beach to go celebrate with them. It was sooooo much fun!! They had all kinds of super cool kids games. We played pass the pumpkin. We went looking for monster eggs. We had a big scavenger hunt. And we decorated our own pumpkin cupcakes. Plus all the food was Halloween themed too. We had ghost sandwiches. Spider pizza. Skeleton bones in cheese (mac-and-cheese) and wrapped mummies (hot dogs wrapped in crescent rolls with faces on them) and witches brew with a frozen bloody hand floating in it. So gross!! lol. But all the kids had fun and it was such a great party!! Thanks guys for inviting us!!
Click here to see all the pictures from the party!

Another baby update

Yesterday was my appointment with my OBGYN. She says I am 20 weeks. I thought I was 18 weeks. lol. So, even better I guess. I am half way done. :o)

Everything went fine. I took Nolan with me. Avalon did not want to go. He was so excited to hear the baby's heartbeat. And he asked the doctor when she will take the baby out? And if she will use a knife? lol. CRAZY! She told him no. Hopefully we won't need a knife and that the baby will come out in 4 months or so. Nolan seemed a little disappointed.

I talked to her about my gallstones. I told her one doctor thinks i's nothing and not even what is causing my pain. Another doctor thinks the pain is from the gallbladder being blocked and that my gallbladder needs to come out after I have the baby. And a third doctor thinks my gallbladder will rupture any minute and I need emergency surgery. lol. She laughed and said she really felt bad for me. Just dealing with doctors let alone the gallstones. She is going to order all my files from the ER at the hospital and look at them herself. She also told me to keep my appointment with the Loma Linda doctors and see what they say. Although she says if Loma Linda decided that I do need to have surgery that she can authorize it and I can just go to RCH to have it done. She did not see the need to go to Loma Linda. But, she also thinks I can just wait until after the baby is born. But, if i do need surgery while pregnant I have a four week window to do it and it is still safe for the baby. My appointment is on November 3rd. Which she said will cut it down to a two week window. But, she does not think I need it. So, good. Because I do not want to get surgery while pregnant.

I have lost 8 pounds. Or since my last appointment I had gained two pounds. So, really I only lost 6 pounds. She was not worried and said I should not even be showing any weight gain yet anyways. My blood pressure and everything was ok. The baby sounded ok. Everything looks ok. My uterus is in the right place. The baby feels to be the right size. So, she ordered some blood tests anyways just to be sure everything is ok. But she said I am just eating super healthy now. And chasing around 2 kids. So, she really does not see me gaining any weight during this pregnancy anyways. HA!! We will see. lol.

My ultrasound is scheduled for Thursday the 30th. Nolan has changed his mind and decided he wants a girl instead of a boy now. lol. I am a little nervous. Dan is 100% sure we will have a boy. So, we painted the bigger room blue and put all the boy's stuff in there. And Avalon has the smaller room. If it is a girl we are either gonna have to keep them both in the smaller room. Or repaint and move everything. Dan said repainting and moving anything is not an option. lol. Really, i think one room is more square and one room is more rectangle. But the rectangle room is slightly bigger and has a bigger closet.

Saturday we are going to a Halloween party at my friend Rochelle's house. They kids are totally excited. They can't wait! It should be so much fun. Then Sunday we are going to the big trick or treat thing at Bass Pro Shops. Which the kids are also super excited about.

Last night was the kids back-2-school night. It was nice finally getting to meet all of Avalon and Nolan's teachers. Since I drop them off early and pick them up after school is over then I only see the "daycare" teachers and not the "school" teachers. I got to see how Avalon and Nolan do their school work and all the different stuff they had learned and all about the Montessori method. So, it was pretty exciting for me too. I meet a lot of the other parents. Who were all dressed up super fancy. 6 inch heels, slacks, blouses. And then me straight from work. Jeans, tennis shoes, and a tshirt. And of course I have mud on my pants from being out in the plant that day. One of the other moms came up to me and asked if my parents were coming to meet us? I was like what? She asked where my parents were. I was all, uhhh... I don't know. Why? She told me how nice it was that I came to my little sisters and brothers back-2-school night. lol. I had to explain to her that I was the parent. Not the sibling. I mean hello!! She was probably only 5 years or so older then me. Why wouldn't I be the parent? Oh well. She seemed a little confused and did not talk to me the rest of the night. One little boy brought all the teachers roses and a box of chocolate. Like a bouquet of roses for each and every teacher and a box of chocolate for each and every teacher. Another kid brought all the teachers lotions and stuff from bath and body. Like, a little gift set for all the teachers. A little girl brought cookies for everyone. I felt totally unprepared. lol. I had no idea we were supposed to bring gifts. When I was a kid we did not bring the teachers gifts. Oh well, now I know for next time.

Art

This weekend was my mom's birthday. Happy Birthday mom!!! Love you!!! :o)

The kids baked her cupcakes. So we had her come over and spend the whole day with us. When she came over though she brought presents for the kids. :o) She brought them over some canvases and a whole bunch of different kinds of paint. This way they could paint their own art work to hang up in their new rooms. So very clever of her. The kids thought it was so cool and had such a great time making them.

New haircut

Ok, I talked Avalon into taking a picture of my new haircut. lol. Here is it. I tried to hide my messy house in the background. lol. Things are everywhere while we are getting ready to move. lol. So, just don't look at the house. ok? Thanks!! :o)

Everything....

So much stuff to talk about. hummmm....

Today was the kids first ever school field trip. They went to the Redlands pumpkin Patch. It was also their first time ever on a big yellow school bus. When I picked them up today I asked them what their favorite part of the day was. The both said getting to ride on the bus. They also told me that the bus had seat belts. I didn't know that the buses had seat belts now? It's about time!! I was a little nervous about that all day. Because you never know what could happen. And all the kids even got to pick out a little pumpkin to take home too. So exciting. :o)

Dan has still been sick ever since getting back from Utah. Today he had another appointment with the doctor because the antibiotics were all gone and he was still sick. They did a chest x-ray and his lungs are clear. So his bronchitis is gone. And the doctor thinks he is just still sick. Since he has been working so much and so hard and not getting enough rest and enough sleep the doctor thinks his body just is not able to heal itself from the cold fast enough. So, there is no other medication they can give him. He just needs to rest. Stay in bed. And get sleep. If you know Dan you know this will be impossible for him to do. lol. But, hopefully when he goes out of town he will take the maximum allowed rest and get some sleep.

Today was my first appointment with my new GI doctor. So weird. lol. His nurse was on a personal call the entire time i was there. And was so obvious about it being a personal call too. I just thought that was rude. Then she informed me that the office has a no kid policy. I asked what do you mean? She said I am not allowed to bring my kids to the appointments. Well, sorry. What am i supposed to do with them? Dan is out of town. I have to bring the kids. I don't have a choice. So then she told the kids they had to sit very still and not touch anything or she would give them a shot that would be very painful and hurt very much. I was so mad. I told her don't ever tell my kids that. And then I reassured the kids that no matter what they would not get a shot. We are the kind of parents that we are very honest with the kids when it comes to things like shots and stuff. We tell them ahead of time that they will be getting shots. And that they will hurt. But that the shots help them to stay healthy and not get sick. So, they don't cry very much when they do get their shots and they don't freak out when the nurse comes. They know what is going to happen. Later when I was talking to the doctor he said they do advise that i don't bring the kids because he is worried about them catching germs and stuff. But that if I have to then by all means bring the kids.

The new doctor asked me a ton of questions about my pain and how often i have had them. All the different test i have had. I told him everything. including how i had been to see Dr. Chung and how he blew me off and actually said to my face that he thinks i am just after pain pills and not really having any pain. I brought all my records with me from the last three years. He went over every test and blood test and everything. He said he has no doubt that the gallstones is what is causing my pain and he could not believe that Dr. Chung was choosing to ignore this. He also disagreed with the ER doctor who said I can wait until after I have the baby to have my gallbladder removed. Unfortunately he said there are only two hospitals that can deal with my gallbladder and me also being pregnant. Loma Linda and UCI. He believes that since the pain is so severe and lasts for so long, and because of the frequency of the attacks that my gallbladder is inflamed and he is worried that if i wait until after I have the baby that my gallbladder will rupture. Which he said would then become a life threatening thing. I would have to have emergency surgery. Which would be even more complicated by my pregnancy. So, he said he did not feel comfortable taking me on. He told me to go to Loma Linda's or UCI's GI department and get a doctor there. He even made me promise I will call first thing tomorrow morning and schedule an appointment. So, I am still hoping that they will do whatever test they have to run and decided that they can wait until after I have the baby before doing any surgery or anything else drastic that could harm the baby. But, its finally nice having a doctor that does not blow me off.

Tomorrow is my appointment with my OBGYN and i am going to let her know what is going on and see what she says. Also tomorrow I get to find out what day she is scheduling my ultrasound for. I know it is supposed to be one day next week. At my last appointment she said we will probably do it on the 28th or 29th. So exciting. I can't wait to find out what we are having. Avalon and Nolan are still both hoping for another boy.

Other news... I cut my hair and had it colored. It's back to a dark brown red and is shoulder length again. I just don't think i am cut out for long hair. lol. I just am to lazy at 5:30am to get up and do my hair everyday. I would have to get up at 4:30 or 5:00 just to blow dry it and style it. I always end up wearing it wet and in a pony tail to work. Today was so nice because by the time i got to work it had already dried. So, as soon as I get a chance I will take a picture and post it.

Since so many people have asked, no, i don't think I am really showing yet. lol. No big belly or anything. I am still wearing my regular clothes. I have not even bought any maternity clothes. I don't even look pregnant yet. I just look like I have gained some weight. Most people that I meet for the first time are totally shocked when they find out I am pregnant. I don't know if that is a good thing or a bad thing. lol.

Saturday my mom and I are taking the kids to this big Halloween event thingy at Bass Pro Shops. They are gonna have a costume parade and painting, and arts and crafts. There will be bobbing for apples and roasting marshmallows and a whole bunch of stuff. I can't wait. It should be so much fun!!!

October 20, 2008

Fustrated!!!

Today was my appointment with my GI doctor. I told him I went to the emergency room last week and the doctor there said I had gallstones and that was what was causing my pain. My GI doctor said that just because i have gallstones does not mean that is where the pain is coming from. My GI doctor in January had put me on prevacid because he believes the pain is from acid reflux. I had been taking that medication all the way up until i got pregnant. And i was still having the pain. He said that just because I was still having pain does not rule out acid reflux or heartburn. So, he is going to continue only treating me for acid reflux. That until he is 100 % positive that the pain is not from acid reflux then he will not even consider treating the gallstones. So, I am going to try and find another doctor and get a 2nd opinion. We will see how it goes. Needless to say I am a little frustrated. My GI doctor said he wants to continue treating me for mild acid reflux disease for at least another 12 months before he rules out acid reflux. He said that in 12 months if I am still having pain then he will do another endoscopy and look for ulcers. Again. Even though we just did that in March and he had already ruled that out. Ugh!!!

Halloween Tree

Something is wrong with my camera. I think the kids might have changed one of the settings and i can't figure out how to fix it. It won't focus anymore. It's driving me nuts!!

Anyhow, my mom came over today and dropped off these little Halloween Tree kits for the kids. They were so excited they could not wait to make them.
This one is Avalon's above. One pack was missing the "pumpkin sign". So after the kids argued and fought over who would get it, Nolan decided he would make his own sign. lol. His is the one right below.

Complaint

How come blogger does not have any cool templates? So you can change your background with the different seasons or holidays. I am bored of my background. lol. Just ranting. Ok I am done. :o)

Dating Site

I heard this commercial on the radio today. I can't remember the whole website. www.ashleysomething.com lol. I don't remember Ashley what. Have you heard this commercial? Its a dating site for married people who want to have an affair. Can you believe that? I just started laughing. It said it was the biggest dating site of it's kind. I am hoping its the only one of it's kind. And when the first woman tells her friend that she has a new boyfriend and is cheating on her husband the friend is so happy for her. They both sound so excited. If my friend told me she was cheating on her husband I would probably knock her in the head. lol. Not go oh that's fabulous!! Tell me more.

Just thought it was to funny\ridiculous not to share. :o)

Diet

Well, I have been put on a no fat, no oil, no greasy food, diet. Not a low fat diet. A no fat diet. Have you ever tried to find stuff made with no fat? Its very discouraging. lol. Bread had fat and oils in it. Milk. Pasta. I have to buy special everything. Since I am pregnant there is nothing I can do but wait this out. I can't take any medication or anything. So, If anyone here has any recipes that are no fat or know of any websites that have no fat recipes I would love to hear them from you. I can find low fat. But even on the web I am having trouble finding no fat foods and recipes.

I have gone 6 days with no sleep and the worst pain i have ever had. Ugh! So, I have to stick with this diet because the Dr. said it is the only way to stop the pain right now until after I have the baby. I dont know what I would do if my mom was not around. She has been getting up in the middle of the night several nights in a row to take me to the ER so that we could figure out what was causing the pain. SHe babysit's the kids in the morning so i can try to get what little sleep I can. ANd she is out on a mission to find me all the fat free food there is. :o) Thanks mom!!

Night in the ER

For the last two nights I have been having the really really bad stomach pains again. You know, the ones I had back in January and went and saw several different doctors for? After numerous blood work, x-rays, cat scans, endoscopy's, and some other tests they still have no idea what is causing the pain.

I don't know how I would explain the pain to anyone. It is the worst pain I have ever experienced in my entire life. Ever. Whoever said labor was the most painful thing a woman can experience has never had this pain. lol. I cant breathe. I can't move. I can't sit still. And I usually spend the entire time crying and trying to breathe. But breathing makes the pain get more intense. So does moving. So does lying down. So does sitting down. lol. There is no relief.

Monday night I came down with the horrible stomach pain again. It started around 7 or 8 pm and did not go away until 1am. Same thing Tuesday night. But last night. At 2am it still had not gone away and the pain was getting more intense. Dan was getting really worried and kept asking me to just go to the hospital. All three days he kept begging me to just go to the hospital. But I have gone to the hospital before over this pain. I already knew it was my stomach pain and I already knew they would not have any idea what it is and send me home. But last night after my third night of no sleep I finally agreed and called my mom. She came right over and drove me to the ER.

They went over my medical history. All of my previous test for this have been outpatient at this hospital. So they had all my records. The doctor took one look at it and said that he could not help me. They obviously don't know what it is or how to fix it. He offered to give me some pain medicine. Which they said was totally safe for me to take being pregnant.

As soon as they started giving me the pain medicine i got this horrible horrible headache and started throwing up. Then they sent me home. I went home and slept for about 3 hours. Then I had to get up and take the kids to school and go to work. And the dumb pain medicine still is making me so nauseous and giving me the worst headache ever. lol. But, at least the stomach pain is gone. So I guess I should not complain.

To make matters worse Dan came down with Bronchitis and he was told to stay in bed and get as much rest as possible or else it will turn into something worse. And if you hear him just breathing it sounds so bad and labored. And he has this horrible cough. Yet, with both of us being so sick neither one of us are getting any rest or getting any better.

The funny part of the night was that I had EMT interns take my blood and insert the IV line. As soon as the hooked up the big huge needle thingy that collect the blood, my blood starting pouring out. Filled up the tuby thing super fast. They even commented on how fast it came out. They had never seen anything like it before. The EMT's. Not the nurses. Then she unhooked it and for some reason hooked up another one. But when it started filling up with blood too she was totally shocked. She said she had never seen that before. Hummm....But we just did it? lol. Anyways, then after she finished doing whatever she was doing she put the blood in the second tube BACK IN MY ARM! That was kinda weird. I have definitely never had that done before?

House update # 453,987,381

ANd of course the kids got to help. They LOVE that part!!
And, all of us girls helped too. Supervise. From outside. lol.

Irvine Pumpkin Patch

Last year the kids and I met up with our friends Desiree and Brady to go to the pumpkin patch.

This year I wanted to go on a weekend. During the week most of the little booths and stuff are closed. We went with Nikol, Vicki, Ryan, Zayne, Ayden, Rochelle, Christian, Carlie, Camryn, Connor, and of course Avalon and Nolan and myself. It was such a big group. We had so much fun though. We go to ride the train, get faces painted, go in the hay maze, the jumper, and of course the pony's!!

We tried and tried to get a picture of all of the kids. This was the best we got. :o)

A sorta funny story, but not really. Right after we took this picture Nolan and Ayden took off. Running over to the train. They could not wait to get on it. So Zayne took off after them. Sadly, I was so busy trying to help get all the kids down off the hay I did not even notice. Till I turned around and I could not find Nolan anywhere. Then I noticed Zayne and Ayden were gone too. Everyone started looking around trying to find them. I finally spotted Zayne over by the line to get on the train. So we all went over there to see if she had Nolan and Ayden with her. Which, thankfully she did. She said they took off so fast she did not have a chance to tell everyone she was going after them. There they were standing over at the glass counter looking at all the toys and shirts and stuff. So then I walked around the rope and down the line to get Nolan. But in the 3 seconds it took me to walk up to him he took off. I could not believe it. Twice in only a few minutes. I walked up and down the whole line looking for him. Vicki said she saw him go to the front of the line. So i went up there. No Nolan. So, once again everyone fanned out and started looking for Nolan. At this point I felt like the worst parent in the whole world. Who loses the same kid twice in less then 10 minutes. Then the announcer said the train was taking off. Nikol looked up and there he was. She spotted Nolan, sitting all by himself on a bench on the train. She ran up there and grabbed him right before the train took off. This was all in 3 to 5 minutes. But it sure felt like 3 to 5 hours. I don't know what we would have done if the train had taken off before Nikol spotted Nolan. We would have been totally freaking out and maybe never have found him. who knows. I picture all sorts of horrible stuff that could have happened. Needless to say the rest of the day I kept a way better watch on my kids and made them stay right with me the whole time. And Nikol did great being the extra hand and helping everyone keep an eye on all the kids.
Here is all the pictures from the whole trip. We got a lot of cute pictures of the kids. It is always so much fun when we get all the kids together. I can't wait for our next big playdate. :o)

Chicken and Rice

Tonight we made the Chicken and Rice recipe. I found another recipe almost just like it on another site that I cant remember now. lol. So I thought to myself, oh self, lets kinda use both of them and see how it turns out. Big mistake. lol. Just stick to the original recipe. Which we are gonna try again next week and I am sure it will come out way better then tonight. Although tonight still was super yummy and delicious.

We started out with the kids helping me mix the rice and the butter together in the pan.
See, so far, easy breezy. Looks good right?
Then we poured the cans of soup on top of the rice. I don't know if I bought the right kind of rice? I got the box of 5 minute white rice? And we made a layer of soup on top of the rice.
So far so good? Looks yummy. The kids are having a blast. Spilling rice, but that's ok. :o)
Then the kids started arguing and fighting over something. I can't remember. They fight a lot lately. lol. So, i decided, hey, I can skip browning the chicken in the skillet can't I? And just put it in here?
Then, here is where I messed up in my opinion. The other recipe I had got from another online recipe center that was kinda similar said to put more of the creamed soup on top of the chicken. Which I did.
well, technically, these little rascals did it. lol. Does that get me off the hook? :o)

Then we covered it in foil and put it in the over at 350 for an hour (since it was raw) and let it cook. Then I took off the foil and let it cook for another 15 minutes.

It came out tasting great! The chicken was totally juicy and yummy and everything! The kids ate it without any KETCHUP!! I don't know if you actually grasp how amazing that is in my house. They ALWAYS have ketchup with everything and wont eat anything without it. But they ate THIS chicken with just the soupy sauce on it. Now, here is where I think I ruined it. I used a total of 4 cans of soup. And they were the kinda big cans. So then it came out too soupy and the rice was all mushy. So, while the chicken came out totally AWESOME!! There was really no rice to go with it.

So, next week I will try it again. Only I will totally stick to the recipe. I am sure it is going to come out great!! :o)

weird?

Most of you read or heard on Friday that OJ was found guilty in Vegas right? I thought so. lol. So, of course, on MSN's home page today there were tons of stuff about OJ and anything and everything related to him. And I was reading one article I found kinda interesting that I never knew before. Of course the famous OJ trail was while I was in high school and i did not really care less or pay attention at all.

So, The article said that Kris Jenner was Nicole Brown Simpson's best friend at the time of her death. But Kris Jenner's at-that-time-husband Robert Kardashian was OJ's lawyer.

Weird? Or just me?

Happy belated birthday

Now that Vicki came down this weekend and I was finally able to give her her birthday present. Over a month late. lol. Dan and the kids and i got Vicki a web cam for her birthday. Dan and the kids got me a web cam for my birthday. yey!! It was killing me not to talk about it because i was so exited and couldn't wait for her to get it.

Last night we both installed the camera and installed skype and tried to figure the thing out. We could both hear each other just fine. And i could see them. But they could not see us. So weird. I was so excited and then it did not work. :o( So, we will work on it some more today. Hopefully we get it figured out. And will be able to use it tonight. :o)

Nolan and Avalon had a blast with it though. They could see Vicki and Mark and the monkey. Nolan kept screaming into the computer mic "Monkey!!! Can you hear me!! I can hear you! Hi Monkey!" And Avalon kept trying to yell to mark. It was so cute. The whole reason I wanted it. So the kids could talk to each other. When we finally did turn off the computer last night Nolan was still trying to talk to Monkey. I told him I turned the computer off so Monkey can't hear him anymore. Nolan started crying about how much he missed Monkey and he just wanted to talk to him some more. It was so cute!!!

Now, we just need to get Aunt Nikol and Grandma to buy computers, lmao, so that we can buy them web cams, so that the kids can talk to everyone! :o)

Happy Birthday Vicki!! I am glad you liked the gift. :o)

USPS

I called the post office yesterday to tell them i think we are not receiving any mail. Not even junk mail all month. So she checked and all our mail is on hold at the new house. I have to go to the post office to pick it up. I asked her why. She said because a new city law says that when ever a new home owner purchases a new home in Riverside they have to install a new mailbox out at the curb. So i asked her how come we are just now being told about this. She said they mailed us a letter. I asked her where they mailed the letter to. Then the lady started laughing. They mailed it to the new house and it is sitting in our pile of mail that is being held at the post office. lol. So, now we have to go buy a mailbox. :o)
